Newbie question here; How do I make my objects cast a shadow appearing to show up on the real surfaces of the camera image? If I include a floor plane in my scene, a shadow is created, but without it there is no shadow.

I think "Bake" is the key to the shading issue in Unity and Blender as well.
Also, if you already have a completed scene including lighting in Unity, the following article may be useful.
