music creation

If I have 10 cubes in a row and I assign all of them different sounds that play when their colliders are triggered, how do I ensure that they sound good together, as in they overlap but systematically reduce their volume in accordance to how recently they got triggered-

So its like an instrument or xylophone type thing-
