When an object is made a parent, the origin is shifted from the center.

I'm having trouble setting the origin. When I make an object parent, the origin is off the center of the object.

In "Center" mode, the center of the parent object is used as the reference, whereas in "Pivot" mode, the center of the parent object is used as the reference.
